Attorney at Law
Allyn Catherine Powell is originally from Andalusia, Alabama. Allyn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
While in law school, Allyn was Vice President of the Christian Legal Society and an active member of the Public Interest Student Board. She was also a recipient of the Order of Samaritan award, the highest public service award bestowed by the University of Alabama School of Law. She gained invaluable experience as both a legal intern in the law school’s Elder Law Clinic and as a law clerk for a law firm in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
During her time as a law student Allyn enjoyed performing with The Footnotes, the law school’s a cappella singing group. As a former ballet dancer, she also enjoys the performing arts. She is a volunteer with the Covington County Distinguished Young Women program.
